Is Gwyneth Paltrow Jealous Of 'Iron Man 2' Co-Stars' Action Scenes?

'I don't want to just keep sitting there,' she tells MTV News of her role as Tony Stark's secretary, Pepper Potts.

Robert Downey Jr. gets to soar through the air, fire repulsor beams from his hands and unleash a personal arsenal that would make most small nations jealous of his firepower.

Samuel L. Jackson gets to wear an eye patch, talk tough and promise to kill somebody someday.

Mickey Rourke has those wicked whips, Scarlett Johansson gets to kick some serious ass, and [article id="1616963"]Don Cheadle[/article] ... well, the dude is War Machine.

All in all, there's a lot of action going around in "Iron Man 2." So when we caught up with Gwyneth Paltrow and spoke with her about playing a secretary, we had to ask a simple, one-word question: Jealous?

"Maybe for the third one [I'll get to kick some ass]," she said. "If they do a third one. They'd have to mix it up a little.

"I don't want to just keep sitting there," Paltrow added, saying that although Pepper Potts is a central character in the franchise as Tony Stark's confidante, action isn't exactly the name of her game. "I hope [I get some action scenes], that would be great."

Instead, Paltrow spends her time on the "Iron Man" set contemplating the unique relationship between Pepper and Tony. "We really haven't talked about [where it will go in the next sequel]; I think if a third part became real, we would probably start to talk about it more," she said.

But because Pepper is such a central character in the Tony story, we had to ask about the giant film on the horizon that Downey, Johansson and [article id="1637482"]Jackson[/article] are so excited about. Could Paltrow possibly fit into the "Avengers" story line?

"I don't know what she would do," the Oscar winner laughed. "Like, dry-clean his sh--?"
