DMX Fans Suffer From Bad Planning, Mace In The Face

DMXBlog
Rioting broke out when DMX’s charity performance at Indiana University was cut short by the police.

Seems like the kids at frat house Lambda Chi Alpha had arranged for the concert to start at 8:30, and had agreed with the university police to shut the show down by 9:30 because of a noise law. Um, 8:30? You’re kidding us. Do these kids know nothing about the hip-hop schedule? Did they have any idea of how good DMX is at punching a clock?? Give the guy a couple hours’ tardiness, aight?

When DMX showed up at 1 hour late -- in rap terms, miraculously early -- the cops were already rearing to send everybody home. The po-po took DMX off the stage, and the crowd began shouting who knows what kinds of ticked-off, collegiate profanities up in their faces. As the audience got more and more worked up, the cops decided to mace the entire front row. Boooo.

As for DMX, his people claim he knew nothing about the school’s noise ordinance law, and the rapper “hopes to return to Indiana University in the future for another show.” Seems not-so-much likely.

The greatest irony in all this? The charity this show was raising funds for, Children Uniting Nations, is dedicated to "providing quality mentoring relationships" for at-risk kids. Man, have they even looked at DMX's driving record? And what about all those pit bulls...?
