Brit Wit Comes of Age in 'Submarine' Trailer

"Submarine" was an audience favorite at this year's Sundance Film Festival, and it's easy to see why now that we've seen the trailer: it's got that clever, witty and oh so precious vibe that not only screams "Sundance" but, more importantly, "Good Sundance."

"Submarine" has been compared to the works of Wes Anderson, particularly his droll and surrealist coming-of-age film, "Rushmore." Like Anderson's film before it, "Submarine" definitely looks like it might be clever and witty (and precious) to the point of being exhausting, but sometimes it's okay to be exhausted by such things.

We're especially impressed by the two young leads, Craig Roberts and Yasmin Paige. They handle the stylized dialogue effortlessly and seem to be completely at ease in front of the camera -- how long before Hollywood snatches them up and puts them in a superhero movie or "Hunger Games" sequel?

Watch the trailer below, or check it out in HD at iTunes Movie Trailers."Submarine" opens June 3.
