Quincy Jones To Receive Unity Award

World Economic Forum to honor producer in Switzerland next month.

R&B producer Quincy Jones is being honored for bringing people together across cultural divides, the Associated Press reported. Jones will receive the World Economic Forum's Crystal Award on Feb. 1 in Switzerland for advancing "global unity through cultural diversity." A jazz trumpet player and pianist in addition to being an arranger, Jones is best known in the pop world for producing Michael Jackson's Thriller (1982) album and the charity single "We Are the World."
