Linkin Park and Michael Bay? A no-brainer team-up if there ever was one.

Linkin Park has provided rockin' tunes to both "Transformers" (2007) and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (2009), and now they're preparing to unveil their contribution to what might be our final look into the world of giant battling robots (at least under Bay's direction).

Check out Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda talking the transformative musical powers of the "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" soundtrack along with composer Steve Jablonsky (who seems rather tired, doesn't he?). Everyone involved with this movie has claimed it's much darker and more serious than its goofy predecessor, "Revenge of the Fallen" (thank the Matrix), and it sounds like the music is going that route as well.

The soundtrack will also feature Linkin Park's new single, "Iridescent."
