The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards nominations are in! [artist id="1236911"]Beyoncé[/artist] and [artist id="3061469"]Lady Gaga[/artist] lead the way with nine nods apiece, and [artist id="1230523"]Kanye West[/artist] and [artist id="502642"]Eminem[/artist] are facing off in the same four categories. The winners will be revealed when the show airs on Sunday, September 13, at 9 p.m. on MTV.

[article id="1616219"]Hosted by Russell Brand[/article] for the second year in a row, the VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York. [article id="1616201"]Taylor Swift[/article], [article id="1617257"]Pink, Green Day[/article] and [article id="1616256"]Muse[/article] are already confirmed to perform. Celebrity presenters include Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Chace Crawford.
