'Cafe Regular Cairo' Takes Top ShortList Festival Prize
And the winner is...."Café Regular Cairo."
The short film, directed by Ritesh Batra, took home top honors of the Jury Award at this year's ShortList Online Film Festival, presented by TheWrap.com.
"For its strong voice and the subtle power of the characters, the Jury Prize goes to CAFÉ REGULAR, CAIRO," the festival's jurors said in a press release. "Set in a seemingly remote place, it surprises the audience by touching the heart of the human experience."

Both the Audience and Jury award winners will have their shorts shown on an MTV channel, and will have a first-look deal with Cinedigm and a pitch meeting at Break Media.
