The sophomore album from former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler,

Friends & Lovers, is due Jan. 18. The 12-track LP is steeped in

a mix of Brit-pop and David Bowie–like '70s rock sounds on

songs such as the title track, "Cocoon," "I'd Do It Again If I Could"

and the Pink Floyd–inspired eight-minute psychedelic opus

"Has Your Mind Got Away?"
