Goo Goo Dolls To Miss Some MP3.com Dates

Pop rockers will perform only once in college towns where tour stops for two days.

Pop-rockers the Goo Goo Dolls and Tonic will not perform on every date of the recently launched MP3.com Music and Technology Tour, contrary to press materials released last month, an MP3.com spokesperson said Wednesday (Oct. 6). In cities where the tour stops for two consecutive days, the Goo Goo Dolls and Tonic will perform only on the second day. That means that the bands will not be playing Oct. 8 in Champaign, Ill., or Nov. 13 in El Paso, Texas. On those days, the fair's technology booths will be open, and lesser-known bands whose work is posted on the MP3.com website will perform. The tour kicked off Tuesday in Iowa City, Iowa. An area dubbed "The Village" highlighted new products and technology for digital music distribution.
