Singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco is planning to release a tribute to folk icon Woody Guthrie in February, a publicist for her Righteous Babe Records label said. Although rights for the performances have not yet been secured, the as-yet-untitled album is slated to include recordings from DiFranco, Pete Seeger, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bragg, Indigo Girls and others. The songs are taken from a 1996 Guthrie tribute concert in Cleveland that raised money for the Woody Guthrie Foundation, which studies and archives his work.
