Cheap Trick will hold Trickfest 3, their third fan festival and showcase, Aug. 25-27 in Merrillville, Ind. To mark the pop-rock group's 25th anniversary, this year's fest at the Radisson Star Plaza Theater will be followed by a concert at Davis Park in nearby Rockford, Ill., the band's hometown, on Aug. 28. Trickfest started in 1995, when the band decided to spend a day with fans signing autographs, taking photos and performing a show of fan requests. Cheap Trick reprised the event in 1998, expanding it to three days. This year's fest will include a battle of Cheap Trick cover bands, music clinics by bandmembers, a silent auction of Cheap Trick memorabilia, an acoustic performance and the fan-request show.
