Former 2 Live Crew leader Luther "Luke" Campbell was arrested early

Monday (July 5) on charges of assault, battery and domestic battery following an altercation at a

Miami Beach nightclub, the Miami Herald reported. Police told the paper

Campbell hit a man in the head with a whisky bottle at Club Zen, apparently upset that

the man was blocking his view of the dance floor. In the newspaper account, Campbell,

38, dismissed the charges as a police conspiracy, saying, "They're out to get me." The

domestic-battery charge stems from a warrant dating back to a May 8 family dispute.
