Black Crowes Keyboardist Hospitalized

Black Crowes keyboardist Ed Harsch was rushed to a hospital in Laige, France, for emergency surgery Thursday (June 24) following a performance by the Georgia rock band in Cologne, Germany. An ambulance met the Crowes' tour bus en route to Brussels and carried Harsch (born Ed Hawrysch) to the hospital, according to band publicist Lathum Nelson, who would not disclose the nature of the surgery. Harsch's condition has stabilized, according to a press release from the band. Nelson said the Crowes are working on an alternative setlist that will allow them to continue the tour without Harsch. They were scheduled to open for Aerosmith Friday (June 25) at Wembley Stadium in London.
