Ian Astbury of the Cult, metal band the Flys and up-and-coming rockers Gordon will play the Tibetan Independence Festival at the House of Blues in Los Angeles July 4. The show, which will also feature DJs and Tibetan dancers, will benefit Realm of Courage, a center for disabled Tibetan children in exile, and Los Angeles Friends of Tibet. In related news, Gordon, who released their self-titled album June 1, have signed on as the opening act for Fuel and Buckcherry for a string of dates on the hard-rock bands' joint tour, beginning July 13 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
