An album of newly discovered live tapes by power-pop pioneers Big

Star, entitled Nobody Can Dance, is slated for release March 9, according

to Miriam Linna of Norton Records. The disc -- compiled with help from Big Star

singer Alex Chilton and drummer Jody Stephens -- includes

eight songs from a March 1974 tour rehearsal and seven from a show two

months later at Memphis, Tenn.'s Overton Park band shell. Among the cuts is a

concert take of "The Letter," Chilton's 1967 hit with the Box Tops.
