Ronnie Spector Plays On U.K. Show

Former Ronettes singer Ronnie Spector taped an appearance on the U.K.'s "Later with Jools Holland" on Wednesday night. During a performance for the show, which will air Friday and Saturday in England, Spector sang her signature tune, "Don't Worry Baby," backed by British rock band the Divine Comedy. Reunited new-wave heroes Blondie also were on the show; lead singer Deborah Harry credited Spector as an inspiration in her career. Spector is scheduled to perform at Dingwall's in Camden, England, on Sunday night, during which she is expected to be introduced by Primal Scream leader Bobby Gillespie and joined by a number of still-unnamed guests.
