Country- and roots-influenced punk-rockers the Meat Puppets are planning to

release a live album on Rykodisc in the spring of 1999, according to Ryko spokeswoman

Sonya Kolowrat. The as-yet-untitled release is the centerpiece of Ryko's reissue of

seven albums the band initially released on the influential SST label between 1982 and

1990. Each of the reissues -- including the classic Meat Puppets II -- will feature

additional rarities and B-sides by the band.
