Billy Idol Halfway To New Album

Platinum-haired punk-rocker Billy Idol has tracked seven songs for his upcoming, untitled album, his first for Java Records, which is headed by producer Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette). Among the songs expected to be on the album (mid-1999), co-produced by Ballard and featuring Idol's reunion with longtime guitarist Steve Stevens, are "Bitter Pill" and "Fear." Idol's first effort since 1993's ill-received Cyberpunk, the album will also feature production work from ex-Hooters leader Eric Bazilian.
