Red House Painters leader Mark Kozelek was forced to cancel

the Atlanta date of a brief solo tour, due to a throat ailment. Kozelek

decided to cancel the Sept. 20 show at Smith's Olde Bar, due to a case of

laryngitis, according to his Supreme Recordings label, which added that none

of the remaining dates on the solo tour is expected to be affected.

Kozelek, who plans to return to Atlanta for a makeup date in early

November after a brief European tour, plans to release the next Red House

Painters album, tentatively titled Old Ramon, in January 1999.
