Wednesday night (March 16) at South by Southwest, the MTV Woodies/10 for 16 brought 2016’s most exciting new artists to Austin, Texas. Before the festival, though, we asked you to cosign the artists you think will be huge this year — and you chose your fave by a landslide.

According to your #woodiescosign tweets and votes, the Cosign fan favorite is (drum roll)... Sawyer Fredericks.

The 16-year-old songwriter won the eighth season of The Voice last year, and it looks like 2016 is primed to be his breakout year — at least if you guys have anything to say about it.

Fredericks’s self-titled debut EP came out last November on Republic Records, while his Voice single “Please” jumped to the top of the iTunes charts. We can’t wait to see what this long-haired crooner puts out next.
