Spice Girls On 'Sabrina' Soundtrack
The soundtrack to the hit television show "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" (Oct. 27) will
feature new and previously released songs from a number of bubblegum-pop bands,
including a new remix from the teen rappers Backstreet Boys ("Hey Mr. DJ") and
a song from the British pop-dance group Spice Girls ("Walk of Life") not
previously released in the U.S. Other pop-rock acts checking in are L.A.'s Sugar
Ray with a recently recorded cover of the Steve Miller classic
"Abracadabra," boy band 'N Sync with "Giddy Up," Robyn ("Show Me
Love"), Aqua (a previously unreleased 7-inch Metro mix of "Dr. Jones"),
Chumbawamba (a radio remix of "Amnesia"), the Cardigans (the
previously unreleased "Blah Blah Blah"), Ben Folds Five ("Kate") and
Matthew Sweet (a cover of the '70s hit "Magnet and Steel," featuring
Fleetwood Mac's Lindsay Buckingham and former Bangles
member Susanna Hoffs). Series star Melissa Joan Hart even gets into the act
on a cover of new-wave punks Blondie's "One Way or Another."
