Charlie Puth Covering 1975’s ‘Somebody Else’ Will Hit You Right In The Feels

And it just might make you emo AF

Before heading out on his fall 2016 We Don't Talk Tour, Charlie Puth flew across the pond to do some press in London, stopping by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge on Thursday (September 15) to gift us all with a surprising cover of The 1975's "Somebody Else." Charlie stripped the song of its groovy synths and background beats for a dreamy but melancholy piano ballad, giving off a way different vibe than Matty Healy's mystical and emotionally raw version.

Didn't know Charlie Puth was into The 1975? It looks like his pals Drew Taggart and Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers may have actually converted him into a fan this summer.

Charlie also performed his latest single, "We Don't Talk Anymore" (sans Selena Gomez), acoustically for the Live Lounge. Watch that video below.
