Trying to get a pic with a celeb you love can be both nerve-racking and difficult. What if they say no or just look at you like you’re crazy or something? Thankfully, this wasn’t the case with Victoria Justice and Justin Timberlake.

Days after cohosting the Teen Choice Awards over the weekend, Justice shared a personal story on Instagram on Thursday (August 4) about her first encounter with JT nearly a decade ago. Basically, it almost didn’t even happen. A then 14-year-old Justice simply wanted a pic with the “SexyBack” singer, but was immediately turned down by his publicist.

“I was about to walk away disappointed, when Justin chimed in and said, ‘No, no, I’ll take a picture with you,’” Justice wrote. Good Guy Justin for the win. “He made my day!,” the Victorious star wrote. “I’ve never forgotten that, it made such an impression on me.”

After learning Timberlake was attending the TCAs — and receiving the Decade Award — she sought him out for a current pic. “He was just as nice now as he was then. 😊.” We wouldn’t expect anything less.
