Everybody loves Scorpius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This is not an overexaggeration; it’s simply fact. Scorpius is the best thing to happen to Harry Potter since Luna Lovegood. He’s delightfully awkward and too pure for this wizarding world. But don’t take our word for it.

Bertie Gilbert, who portrayed the tiny Malfoy heir in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 “for 10 seconds,” took to Twitter over the weekend to express his gratitude for The Cursed Child’s portrayal of Scorpius.

Aww. We love it when the past and present collide in the Harry Potter universe. While we never could have imagined how tenderhearted little Scorpius would turn out to be during that epilogue scene, we’re thrilled that Scorpius’s story didn’t end on Platform 9¾.
