New 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' Trailer Finally Unveils Some Magical Creatures
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them brought the magic to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. Not only did star Eddie Redmayne hand out Newt Scamander wands to attendees during the Warner Bros. panel, but he also debuted a brand-new Fantastic Beasts trailer — and this time, the beasts take center stage.
Unlike the previous two trailers, this one emphasizes the immense magnitude of Newt’s mistake. With a horde of magical creatures running rampant around New York City in 1926, the wizarding community is in serious danger. “Magical beasts are terrorizing No-Majs, and when No-Majs are afraid, they attack,” President Madam Seraphina Picquery warns Newt in the trailer. But Newt isn’t so worried for No-Majes; he’s worried about his beasts.
“They’re on alien terrain, surrounded by the most vicious creatures on the planet — humans,” he says, spoken like a true Hufflepuff.
While there’s still no shot of Ezra Miller’s mysterious character, Credence, we do get a very ominous look at Jon Voight’s Henry Shaw Sr. (a No-Maj) and an exciting glimpse of a duel between Newt and Colin Farrell’s Auror, Percival Graves. Oh, and there are plenty of goblins — who surprisingly don’t work at a bank!
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them hits theaters November 18, 2016.
