Schoolboy Q Raps His Way Through Prison In ‘Tookie Knows II’

Blank Face LP is out next week

These days, with surprise releases becoming increasingly popular, it's not uncommon to hear a very limited amount of music from an artist's project before it drops. But the lead-up to the release of Schoolboy Q's new album, Blank Face LP, has involved a handful of musical previews -- which is particularly thoughtful of him, given the two-plus year gap since 2014's Oxymoron album.

Following "Groovy Tony," "That Part" and "By Any Means," Q delivered "Tookie Knows II" on Thursday, which not only follows up 2012's "Tookie Knows (Interlude)," but serves as both the second installment of an ongoing short film and the music video for the album's last track. In it, the rapper and a few of his boys pull off a heist, but it doesn't exactly end well. It does, however, inspire some bars for the album's closer.

Blank Face LP is set to drop July 8.
