Lindsay Lohan Has Refreshingly Honest Advice For Her 'Parent Trap' Self

‘Be grateful’

Lindsay Lohan turns 30 on Saturday and — wait, what? Yeah, the adorable redhead you watched in childhood favorites The Parent Trap, Life-Size, and Disney Channel's Get a Clue is officially done with her twenties. Man, time flies.

LiLo plans on celebrating her big day with family and friends in Greece, according to some thoughts she recently shared about the milestone with Vanity Fair.

"I thought I would be hiding when I realized I was turning 30!" she told the magazine. "It’s different because the way I live my life is different, which I am very grateful for."

Grateful must've been the keyword of the hour, because it popped up again in the same interview — in response to a question about the advice she'd give her 11-year-old self entering Hollywood with The Parent Trap.

"My mother taught me to always be humble, and that is something I live by still today, so I would say that," she said. "I would also probably say don’t go too fast. Pay attention to the people you surround yourself with and make sure they have honest intentions. Put yourself first, and just breathe. Be happy and always be grateful for the moment you have in front of you. Be here, now."

Hear that, little baby Lohan? That's you from the future. Take note.
