Guess Which Rapper Wrote The McDonalds ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ Jingle?

Bah-da-bah-bah-bah!

Earlier this week, Pusha T revealed he has a seat at weekly "Drug Dealers Anonymous" meetings, alongside Jay Z. But it turns out the New York MC is responsible for peddling another potentially dangerous substance to Americans: hella greasy fast food.

During an interview with Hot 97 on Thursday, Steve Stoute, music mogul and current CEO of the marketing firm Translation, revealed that Pusha T penned McDonalds’s most ubiquitous earworm: the “I’m lovin’ it” jingle. Yep, that iconic “bah-da-bah-bah-bah" that emerged in the early 2000s, and has since become the fast food chain’s musical staple, was penned by King Push himself.

“You know who did that? Pusha T. That’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song for McDonalds!” Stoute casually exclaimed, after shooting down the popular belief that it was Justin Timberlake and Pharrell who penned the tune.

Pusha later responded to the revelation on Twitter with a series of three emojis (the third one, we can only guess, means he still makes hella bucks off that little jingle).

Check out the interview (the McDonalds bit happens around the 3-minute mark), and then revisit a dated ad featuring Pusha rapping over the jingle below:
