Watch Kesha Perform ‘I Shall Be Released’ In Another Bob Dylan Tribute

The song choice speaks for itself

Just a day after her show-stopping rendition of “It Ain’t Me Babe” at the Billboard Music Awards, Kesha again tributed Bob Dylan with another powerful performance.

On Monday, Kesha took the stage at Dylan Fest, a two-night concert in Nashville celebrating the legendary musician’s 75th birthday. Barefoot and wearing a sparkly blue suit, she belted out “I Shall Be Released,” Dylan’s gospel-influenced 1967 classic. As she beautifully sang about redemption (“Any day now, I shall be released,” the chorus rings), her song choice made a bold statement in light of her ongoing legal struggles. The singer is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against Kemosabe Records and producer Dr. Luke, whom she claims emotionally and sexually abused her.
