Kesha Made Every Minute Of Her BBMAs Performance Count

Ben Folds accompanied the singer for a gentle cover of Bob Dylan's 'It Ain't Me Babe'

Last week, complications with her label made it seem as though Kesha would have to pull out of the Billboard Music Awards. But at the last minute, Kemosabe re-delivered approval of her performance and made her stirring Bob Dylan tribute a reality.

After performing the track with Ben Folds at LA’s Orpheum Theatre on May 18, Kesha sang “It Ain’t Me Babe” at the BBMAs last night (May 22). Folds backed her up on piano for the minimal but touching cover.

Kesha was allowed to perform under the condition that she wouldn’t address her legal battle with producer and label head Dr. Luke in any way, and she held up her end of the deal. She sang mournfully and beautifully without speaking a word.
