Watch Emilia Clarke Prank Her Dothraki Costar When He Falls Asleep

The Mother of Dragons gets sweet revenge on Khal Moro

Emilia Clarke is Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons -- and Game of Thrones on-set prankster, it turns out.

While filming the show's fiery Dosh Khaleen takedown, Clarke and her costars took breaks in between takes. Sometimes Joseph Naufahu, who played the pompous Khal Moro, fell asleep during this downtime. Clarke seized the opportunity to prank him by drawing on his face. But instead of penises -- the go-to doodle for drawing-on-face pranks everywhere -- she wrote Dothraki phrases on his arms or forehead.

"A lot of it was, ‘Qoy Qoyi,' which means ‘blood of my blood,'" Naufahu told Vulture.

One time, Clarke took her pranking to the next level by covering the sleeping Naufahu in sugar: "I had my dessert sitting on the table, and she decided to smear the dessert on me. She put caramel fudge all over my fingers, all over my costume, and she was about to feed it to me, but I woke up. I woke up with a spoon in my mouth."

Bravo, Emilia, bravo. Next time, may we suggest dipping in his hand in water to get him to pee himself? Or putting shaving cream on his hand and tickling his face with a feather from Jon Snow's old Lord Commander coat? Consider this a lesson learned — whether you're in a sleeping bag in your BFF's basement or en route to Westeros, never be the first person to fall asleep.
