Bobby Shmurda's Trial Start Date Got Pushed -- Again

To later this year

Bobby Shmurda is going to have to wait a bit longer for his day in court.

The Brooklyn native, who is currently behind bars waiting to stand trial following a December 2014 arrest on conspiracy, gun and drug charges, was scheduled to head to court this week. That trial start date has been delayed, though, following a request from defense attorneys, according to XXL, who confirmed the news with Kati Cornell, the Director of Public Information at the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor in New York.

At the request of the attorneys for Bobby and three other defendants, judge Abraham Clott agreed to move the start date, pushing it four months, to September 12.

The rapper is currently at the Westchester County Correction facility.
