Here's the Title for the Second 'Sharknado' Movie
Syfy's "Sharknado" wound up being a brief tutorial on the impact of social media frenzying on pop culture, and so, in putting the initial pieces of the inevitable sequel together (because of course they'd order one up after such attention, even if it was laden with mockery), the network turned once again to its pool of core participants: the Twitterers.
Yep, they asked the tweeting world — which reportedly produced 5,000 tweets a minute during the original airing of the toothy talkie — to help 'em out in coming up with a fun title for "Sharknado 2," but how do you follow up something which owns its ridiculousness as much as "Sharknado?" Well, a few thousand tweets rolled in (a pithy net when compared to its prime) to assist, but what they came up with was this ...
"Sharknado 2: The Second One."
Underwhelmed? Well, so were these tweeters who offered up a few much better alternatives.
You assholes. How can you have a Sharknado sequel and not call it Sharknado 2: The Sharkening?

"Sharknado 2: The Second One." That's it? That was from Twitter followers? Sharknado 2: The Shaw-Shark Redemption sounds better than that

Okay Sharknado 2: The second one? Lame sequel title. Let's try a new film - like Piranhacane or Croconami.

Bummed they just went with Sharknado 2 rather than something like Sharkalanche.

Personally think they should have gone with De-Jaws-vu for the Sharknado 2 title.

"Sharknado 2: The Second One" will debut in July, 2014. Sigh.
