It's been nine long years since Vin Diesel's deadly future guy Richard B. Riddick (Ricky to his friends) last kicked butt onscreen in "The Chronicles of Riddick." But now, with just a few short weeks left until his newest adventure hits the big screen, Diesel has released a hot new trailer for "Riddick."

And we have three words for you: Space dragon zombies.

Or, you know, something like that. Exactly what is menacing Riddick is a bit unclear, because unlike Diesel's anti-hero, we can't see in the dark, which is where most of the action takes place in this clip.

We do know, however, that Riddick finds himself at the mercy of a group of very touchy bounty hunters, including "Battlestar Galactica's" Katee Sackhoff. And then he does some patented Riddick performance art involving a scimitar, deftly choreographed ballet moves and a tone poem, all of which concludes with a dude getting whacked violently. In other words, exactly what you want out of your late summer blockbusters.
