Meta Movie Magic: Lake Bell's 'In a World...' Trailer

It's like a picture inside of a picture, reflected in a mirror. Or maybe it's like a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude. Whatever it is, it's almost as meta as an episode of "Community."

The trailer for the Sundance hit "In a World..." starts off with those three famous trailer words, advertising a movie with a plot that involves the world of movie trailer voiceovers.

Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that she's more than just a pretty face, Lake Bell wrote and directed "In a World..." and nabbed the Sundance 2013 Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award in the process.

It's a story about a vocal coach (Bell) who ends up head-to-head against her own father in the competitive world of movie trailer voiceovers (that's an Olympic Sport too, right?). Bell rounded up her "Children's Hospital" pals Rob Corddry and Ken Marino along with Fred Melamed ("A Serious Man"), former "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" correspondent Demetri Martin, Ron Swanson himself Nick Offerman (husband to Megan Mullally, also from "Children's Hospital") and cult favorite standup Tig Notaro.

The rest of us will get to see what the Sundance elite got to see when the R-Rated "In a World..." hits theaters August 9.
