It's about time these guys made it in the movies.

After several false starts and other Hollywood-ish obstacles, Warner Bros. has finally given the green light to a big-screen adaptation of the HBO comedy series, "Entourage," according to Deadline.

"Entourage" followed the acting career of hot young movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) as he navigated the wild world of Hollywood with his childhood friends from Queens, New York. The show ran for eight seasons from July 18, 2004 through Sept. 11, 2011.

The last we heard of the "Entourage" movie was last September, when series creator Doug Ellin reported that the script, which takes place six months after the series finale, was nearing completion. "There are interesting developments about [talent agent] Ari as a studio head, and that’s still the first page for me," Ellin said. "But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters."

Ellin will be directing the film, and deals are starting to be made with the principal cast members: Grenier; Kevin Connolly (Chase's manager Eric 'E' Murphy); Kevin Dillon (Chase's brother Johnny Drama); Jerry Ferrara (Chase's driver Salvatore 'Turtle' Assante); and, of course, Jeremy Piven as talent agent turned studio mogul Ari Gold. It's a safe bet that several key supporting cast members (such as Emmanuelle Chriqui, Perry Reeves and Scott Caan) will be returning as well, with several celebrities enlisted to play themselves.

Warner Bros. hasn't set a start date yet, though we agree with The Playlist in that with "The Hangover" series expected to come to a close with this summer's third installment, chances are the studio wants a rowdy new bromance out there partying as soon as possible.
