Well, now that he doesn't have "Star Wars" to worry about, it's time to get hitched!

George Lucas just can't stop with the mergers lately, as his latest life-changing contract involves an impending marriage certificate with his longtime girlfriend, Mellody Hobson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hobson, who happens to be the Chairman of DreamWorks Animation, and Lucas have been together since 2006, the year after Lucas unleashed the final "Star Wars" feature film under his control, "Revenge of the Sith." Until then there was "no time for love, Dr. Jones," to quote a certain Lucasfilm sidekick.

Hobson also heads Chicago-based investment management firm Ariel Investments LLC and is chairman of Ariel Mutual Funds, which is among the largest African American-owned money management and mutual fund companies in the country.

So, yeah, they're both filthy rich ... even after Lucas donated his entire $4.05 billion check from Disney to an education foundation.

This marks the first marriage for Hobson, 43, and the second for Lucas, 68. No word yet on where or when they'll tie the knot, but we imagine the wedding will be a mix of the awards ceremony at the end of "A New Hope" and the Ewok party at the end of "Return of the Jedi."
