'Monsters, Inc. 3D' Trailer Scares Up Some Laughs

With just about every movie studio on Earth trying to wring a few extra bucks from their film catalog by reissuing their movies with hasty 3-D transfers, fans can become a little jaded. But there are two things about the new 3-D re-release of "Monsters, Inc." that buck that trend: The movie is awesome and it was pretty much made to be shown in 3-D anyway.

And just to make sure you remember how cool "Monsters, Inc." is, Pixar has just released a brand new trailer.

Start printing money now, Disney.

Featuring John Goodman and Billy Crystal as two professional monsters whose lives are upended when a human child accidentally winds up in their scary realm, "Monsters, Inc." has been a fan favorite from the moment it first debuted in 2001. Back then, though, they didn't have today's 3-D technology, so even though the animation was actually rendered in 3-D to begin with, it wasn't screened that way.

Now, though, we have the technology to see these movies as they were intended to be seen, which is awesome news for animation fans and people who just like to see walking, talking, snarky eyeballs.

"Monsters, Inc. 3D" doesn't hit theaters until Dec. 19, but you can catch a sneak peek right now, courtesy of Apple Trailers. Get an eyeful of this.
