There's only one thing we love more than retro video games and that's convoluted sci-fi epics starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a hitman assigned to assassinate his older self, who was sent back in time by mobsters from the future.

Okay, so that's a fairly specific genre, but if you enjoy both of those things as much as we do, then you're going to love this: "Looper," 8-bit style.

Created by Deppak Chetty, this awesome new clip takes the super buzzy "Looper" trailer — you know, the one where Bruce Willis appears out of thin air to totally screw up both JGL's life and the timestream — and re-imagines it as an old school, '80s style video game.

The coolest movies of today paired with the gnarliest technology of yesterday? Now there's a time loop we can definitely get behind.
