"My favorite movie switches depending on my mood, but it's probably 'The Bicycle Thief' just because of how honest and perfect it is. I love all the stuff that [director Vittorio De Sica] doesn't need to put in a movie to move you. It's not manipulative in any real way.

"And I've always loved 'Matewan' and 'Badlands.' Those are probably my three favorite movies."

David Cross can currently be seen on TV's "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" and "Running Wilde." He also be heard in next month's animated adventure "Megamind."
