Try Not To Cry During This Deleted Katniss And Peeta Flashback From 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2'

Watch an exclusive never-before-seen deleted scene from 'Mockingjay, Part 2.'

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 gave Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) the ending they deserved with a sunbathed flash-forward of the couple and their two small children. It wasn't the happiest of endings, but it was just the right amount of happy for our embattled heroine. Most importantly, the ending felt earned.

The Hunger Games has never been a franchise that acts like extreme violence and warfare just happen so that everybody can move on and start making out with the nearest Peeta. Katniss and Peeta's slow-burning relationship was representative of the franchise as a whole, and it all culminated in Mockingjay, Part 2.

The "real, or not real?" moments of Katniss helping Peeta recover from his PTSD are incredibly moving, and reminiscent of another emotional moment from the film -- a never-before-seen deleted flashback scene starring Katniss and Peeta, as featured on the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release of Mockingjay, Part 2, that you can watch right here, exclusively on MTV News.

In it, the scene flashes back to Peeta's initial training for the 74th Hunger Games. When Katniss sees that he's being mocked by Cato and the The Careers, she jumps in to give him some strategic advice. Katniss and Peeta's love is eternal, guys.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 and The Hunger Games Complete 4-Film Collection will be available on Digital HD on March 8 and on Blu-ray & DVD on March 22.
