Florence Welch and Blood Orange Make R&B Music Together

Florence Welch and Blood Orange's Dev Hynes go way back: Welch toured with Hynes as a back-up singer during his days performing as Lightspeed Champion and Hynes played guitar in early incarnations of Florence + the Machine. So it's no surprise that they've talked about cutting a record together. Now there's some proof that it's moving forward in some fashion. Interview got their hands on a crafty re-working of Flo's "Never Let Me Go," a tune from 2011's Ceremonials. The tempo is slowed down to a sultry speed, with Hynes' singing like a young Prince amidst a simple electronic arrangement, trading off verses with Florence throughout. Although it's not a new song per se, hearing these two together make the idea of a whole album sound quite enticing.
