Marco Rubio Asks Americans 'Branded Bigots And Haters' To Vote For Him In This New Ad

He says they're the 'essence of America.'

In a new 30-second ad released yesterday (Dec. 14), 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio appeals directly to bigoted voters -- very explicitly.

Rubio appears to be feeling deeply sympathetic as he says that this election is really about all of the poor, victimized Americans who have been "branded bigots and haters."

"This election is about the essence of America," Rubio says. "About all of us who feel out of place in our own country, a government incredibly out of touch, and millions with traditional values branded bigots and haters."

Rubio is undoubtedly speaking about those who, like himself, oppose same-sex marriage and fantasize that they may one day reverse the Supreme Court's historic marriage equality ruling. In other words, he's suggesting that literal "bigots and haters" are the true victims, here, because gay people -- whose existence they don't approve of -- have recently gained some of the same rights they've always had. And they're upset about it.

Rubio then goes onto vaguely state that president Obama has been "humiliated" by "Putin, Iran and Islamic Jihadists" without offering any further explanation.

wtfgrammar

Rubio closes the ad with a string of sentences as baffling in their syntax as they are in content: "I'm Marco Rubio, and I approve this message because this is about the greatest country in the world. And acting like it." (Also, was he trying to appeal to The Kids with that use of the word "haters?" Doesn't he know Millennials made marriage equality happen?)
