One Direction Thank Their ‘Greatest Team Mates’ After Final Performance

'It's the last part of our first chapter,' Liam said.

One Direction have officially come full circle.

The guys -- Louis, Niall, Liam and Harry -- performed for the final time together before their hiatus on the "X Factor" U.K., which just so happened to be the place their career began.

The guys took the stage on the show's season finale on Sunday to perform "History" and "Infinity" off Made In The A.M. and, at one point, a montage of photos from the group's five years together played on a screen behind them.

After the performance, the guys took to Facebook to thank all of their Directioners.

"This is just a massive massive thank you to all of our fans obviously you guys made all this happen for us and we can't believe the way you have supported us over the past five years," Liam said. "And today is very special for us because it's the last part of our first chapter."

The guys got a bit emotional and were in a state of disbelief over how much they've accomplished over the past five years.

They credited their Directioners for helping change their lives.

They thanked their "team mates."

And promised that they will be back.

But until then, let's take a trip down memory lane and look back when the guys, including Zayn, performed "Torn" for the very first time on the "X Factor" back in 2010.
