'Twentyfourseven' Star Chris Carney Dead At 35

The Prom Kings singer passed away in an automobile accident on Friday (Dec. 4).

Chris Carney, former lead singer of The Prom Kings and star of the MTV reality series "twentyfourseven," has tragically passed away.

Carney was the husband of Disney Channel alum Tiffany Thornton (who starred in "Sonny with a Chance") and had two children with the actress/radio host.

According to USA Today, he was one of two people killed in a one-car automobile accident in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Friday (Dec. 4), the town where his mother serves as mayor.

The City of Hot Springs confirmed the news on Facebook, offering condolences to Mayor Ruth Carney and the entire Carney family and identified the second crash victim as Ezekial Blanton.

Chris and his brother Greg starred in the 2006 MTV reality show "twentyfourseven," which followed their journey to Los Angeles in the pursuit of a musical career. He was 35.
