'Avengers' Promo Poster Offers Peeks At Hawkeye & Captain America's Other Costume!

During the Licensing Expo 2011 convention in Las Vegas, an eagle-eyed attendee snapped a photo of an image advertising the upcoming line of "Avengers" movie-licensed merchandise. And while it's not an official movie promo image, it does give us our first decent look at Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and the new costume Captain America dons in the modern era.

The photo was snapped by Twitter user theonlyesq, and shows Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Thor, Black Widow, and Iron Man leaping — and smashing and flying and jump-kicking — into action.

Previously, we heard from Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr., about seeing his co-stars in costume, and also got some impressions from the new Hulk, Mark Ruffalo, as well as "Captain America: The First Avenger" star Chris Evans. We even spoke to Tom Hiddleston, who will reprise his "Thor" role as Loki, the god of mischief.

Way back in April, Chris Evans revealed that Captain America will sport a new costume for "The Avengers," and now it looks like we finally get a peek at the star-spangled superhero's attire in the modern era. That same month we also got our first, ever-so-brief look at Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, thanks to a clip from "Thor" that surfaced online.

We have a long way to go before seeing the Avengers assemble on the big screen in May 2012, but images like this certainly make the wait a little more tolerable, right?
