'Captain America: The First Avenger' Score Gets 'Back To The Future' Composer

The news comes from Film Music Reporter, though it should be noted that there's no source provided for the confirmation.

Silvestri is a true Hollywood veteran, with more than 100 films credited to his name. He hasn't worked on a comic book adaptation since the 1995 take on "Judge Dredd," but his resume includes greats like "Forrest Gump," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" and the entire "Back to the Future" trilogy. Can't really ask for better than that, right?

It'll be a little while yet before we get a taste of Silvestri's contribution, but there's been no shortage of visual material to pore over and form opinions about. Last month's Toy Fair brought a ton of looks at the "Captain America" action figures based on the movie, and then there was the "Captain America" trailer that aired during the Super Bowl, which finally brought a first, if fleeting, glimpse of Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" is in theaters on July 22, so there's not much longer to go now!

Is Silvestri the right guy to score "The First Avenger"? Let us know what you think in the comment section or on Twitter!
