Superman's A Gamer? Brandon Routh Talks 'World Of Warcraft,' Hopes For Role In Movie

Last week, you heard from "Superman Returns" actor Brandon Routh about his upcoming role in the live-action adaptation of "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," but at one point during my conversation with the comics-friendly star, the subject turned to gaming: specifically, his obsession with the popular online role-playing game "World of Warcraft."

Apparently, the Man of Steel isn't just a child of Krypton and Earth -- he's also a resident of Azeroth, too.

"I'm kind of a gamer," Routh told MTV News. He then hinted that he's not only excited about the announcement that "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi will helm a big-screen adaptation of the game, but he's hoping to get a role in it.

"They just announced that Sam Raimi is directing, so that's very cool," said Routh. "My friends over at Legendary are working on that. ... So I'm looking forward to what's going to happen with that."

When I asked him whether he's hoping to get a call for that project, Routh couldn't help but smile.

"You might get a little action -- a little sword fighting -- that would be a lot of fun," he said.

What do you think of Brandon Routh, the gamer? Think he's a Horde guy or an Alliance guy? What about casting him in the film?
