"For me, family is life," the 27-year-old said in the issue, which also features interviews with Katherine Heigl, Usher and Madonna; all talking about their families in the magazine's "Family" edition. "The decision to start one wasn’t complex at all… We’re keeping [the sex of the baby] a surprise."

Miranda and Orlando married under the radar this past summer, and she was busy working in Paris on a Jil Sander campaign when she found out that she was expecting a baby with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star. "I was wondering why I’d been so sick," she recalled, before explaining that despite her bustling modeling career, during which she's transitioned from Angel to high-end fashion model, she wants to focus on her family.

"My career has been wonderful, but it’s not my life. I don’t feel pressure to get back to work," she said. "My goal involves a hammock, a vegetable patch, and a solar-powered house. And I hope to eventually get there."
