Ellie Goulding's video for "Goodness Gracious" was just released, and it is a Day-Glo DREAM. In a behind-the-scenes peek, Ellie explained that because the song's lyrics are dark, she wanted the images to be "bright and bold," so obviously, it was shot in L.A., capital of all of the above. The vid is both of those things, big time, and Ellie's glittery and glowing looks command attention, which is exactly why we've broken down each outfit for a look by look. Forget the freezing temperatures outside for a sec, and check out her cheery wardrobe below!

Ellie's first look is a sequined plaid jacket, which she pairs with a silk bustier. Her hair is perfect, but not ~perfectly coiffed~. No, I'm talking the most desirable bed-head in the history of the world. Her hair remains practically the same throughout the video, which is great, because I can't stop looking at it.

Her second look is a long-sleeve mini-dress, also sequined, which by most people's standards would be pretty New Year's Eve-y for a random night out, but she manages to dress it down with her baby-blue beanie. Look at those bangs under that hat. It's not fair, TBH.

While Ellie doesn't partake in the video's Day-Glo glory, one of her friends applies neon-pink lipstick. Glow-in-the-dark makeup has been popping up in music videos everywhere lately, from Beyonce's "Blow" to Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights". In order to incorporate this look into my everyday steez (as I plan to do), I'll just be forced to carry a black light around with me. WORTH IT.

The majority of her looks involve sequins, but this one, where she's perched on the edge of a bathtub, does not. The yellow-and-white number is obviously her bathroom party dress. Every woman's got one.

Next is, IMHO, the best look from the video. Ellie keeps with the sequined theme, this time in the form of shorts, which she pairs with an iridescent varsity jacket and light-up shoes.

She wears the same outfit to skateboard/hang with a man in a space blanket. We all incorporate metallics into our wardrobes in different ways. This is his approach.

AND THEN! We're treated to a closeup shot of Ellie's glowing kicks, which are silver with a light-up sole. A brief scan of Ellie's Instagram revealed that the shoes are Nike, which makes sense, because Ellie and Nike are tight. Last year, she designed a special edition FlyKints. The LED sneaks don't seem to be available online, so Ellie must've received them as a BFF gift from the company. Nike, I would like to put in an application to be your friend. I NEED THOSE SNEAKERS.

Ellie's final look also features sequins! Can you believe it? While a glittering dress is enough ~look~ for most people, not so for Ellie. She accessorizes her short-sleeved dress with a rhinestone necklace. Rhinestones on sequins? It's genius! I know what I'm wearing next New Year's Eve Saturday.
